The winner...

...of my Bowls with Borders giveaway is
#49 Jennifer Gail...
I have sent Jennifer an email...
I'm sEw sorry I'm sEw late in announcing the winner,
but it is always better to be late than never!!

I have been sEwing lots and preserving the summer fruits and veggies
...some from my garden and some from the farmers market.
The Canton farmers market is small  but it has a lot to offer..
the 'candy' onions are seW delicious...the best sweet onion yet.

...sEw far I've made

10 jars of peach jam
10 jars of strawberry jam, 1 jar is gone!!
12 jars of tomato/peach chili
yesterday it was 14 jars of hamburg/hot dog relish
and I'm still not finished my canning.
You can find the recipe HERE.
It smells so yummy in the kitchen.
I still have to make my pickled beets and
some spaghetti sauce.
If only the raccoons would leave my yellow zucchini alone.
I would like to add it to my spaghetti sauce.
I am getting lots of tomatoes from my garden and they are seW sweet.

I quilted and bound another donation quilt...
it will be going to Margaret's Hope Chest
as part of the 100 Quilts for Kids.

I stitched it with a sports pattern
and it doesn't look too bad.  I'm sure a boy will love it.

The pattern is called Fair and Square
 by Amanda Jean at crazymomquilts.
It is quick and easy, great for a donation quilt.
It is a free tutorial and one of many she offers on her blog.

happy stitching

Pauline
