We heard her plea for a cure
Mdm Samm was pos/it/ively sure
that we could stitch the nights away
in hopes that we MAY----

with all YOU Ghastlie FANS...

I have been suffering from the nasty Ghastlie flu
for some time now, about a month actually, and think I've found 'the cure'.

Heather Ross Quilts ****edited****

My DDIL introduced me to Heather Ross fabrics a few years ago when
Mendocino and Lightning Bugs was readily available at the quilt stores.

This is some of my Lightning Bug collection...........

Lightning B closeup

For Christmas that year I had bought 3 Lightning Bugs quilt kits from my LQS.
I gave DDIL she wanted to get back into quilting and what a perfect gift it was.
She luved it and finished her's long before I finished mine.....
in fact mine still needs the binding....
and it is not like me to leave a quilt unfinished when only the binding is left to do......
...after all the binding is my favorite part of quilt making.

This is mine without the binding....

and a close up.....
Heather Ross Lightning bugs

Last summer my granddaughter was getting a new bedroom.....
The twin beds were painted turquoise
and she picked Heather Ross' Mendocino fabrics for her quilts.
I finally got them not by me....
and I bound one in the car on our way to Canada and
finished the second one before we had to head back home.

...I luv the stitching.....the mermaids are perfect.
Back of Leah's quilt

and I made a pair of pillow cases too...

Mendicino pillow cases

I'm late as usual but I promised a Halloween giveaway...
so a Halloween giveaway it is!!!

(not exactly as shown as this one has been gifted)
I'll include a halloween surprise if you are a follower of my blog.....
for this giveaway you do not have to be a follower to win the tea towel....
...but I would luv it if you choose to follow.
Giveaway CLOSED October 24th at midnight and
I'll announce the winner Tuesday morning.
Please make sure you have an email so I can contact you.
