Hands 2 Help Charity Challenge

The final linky party for the Hands 2 Help Charity Challenge is
at Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
Sarah has been hard at work organizing the challenge
and keeping us informed...she even had guest bloggers.

This is the second year I participated.
Last year I donated 2 lap size quilts to Happy Chemo.

This year I stuffed 3 child size lap quilts into one box
that went to Quilts of Compassion...
...they have been received.
The one on the quilt rack is on it's way to Happy Chemo
and it should arrive in Utah tomorrow.
This quilt was pieced by my DIL and quilted by my son.
They both did an awesome job.
Thank you Sarah, for all the hours you put into making this
quilt challenge such a success.
I look forward to participating again next year.

  1. You are wonderful to make the charity quilts. The one on the rack is beautiful, too and great job of quilting. I cringed when I heard the name Happy Chemo. I didn't know there was such a thing. I thought chemo was awful when I endured it and radiation was just as bad. A church group made a quilt for me to wear from the dressing room to the radiation room. It was not my colors and I knew the time and energy someone had spent to make it for me. Overtime, I grew to love my quilt. When I "graduated," I was given my quilt. I think it's still in the closet. Since it was just to cover up between the rooms, it is small. I need to see about donating it to charity so someone can get wonderful use from it. Again, you and your family are very generous and the quilts will certainly raise spirits at a valley in others' lives. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations and thank you for giving to others.

  4. Pauline, they are all wonderful!!! The last one, especially, will definitely turn chemo into Happy Chemo for some lucky person. Thank you so much for participating in the Challenge this year, and I hope you'll be back again next year.
