A sucessful finish for ALYoF and more...

...I finished the batik quilt and gifted it to Todd and Noreen.
They were packing up the car
to go to Niagara-on-the-Lake for the weekend.
I just had to take a picture with Noreen's new Mini Cooper...
it's sweet...Noreen was camera shy!!
...and a picture in their back yard.
The quilt back is a green batik with a hint of lavender.
They loved it...I'm now cutting the pieces to make a second quilt.
It is a quick and easy pattern in the February 2009
American Patchwork & Quilting .

My Hands2Help challenge quilt is also finished and ready to mail.
I used a Bear Country School layer cake and charm pack by Moda.
The quilt measures 48" x 56" .
The lilac bushes are gorgeous this year...

I can't believe I've finished it 3 weeks before I have to mail it.
I have till June 12...I've got time to make another one,
but I have lots of other projects on my 'to do' list...
we would like to be moved back to Canada by the end of the year!!
Still procrastinating...

  5. Wow love the quilt the batiks are fabulous. How great to get the H2H quilt finished early.

  6. Love both your quilts - but I am very partial to batiks :)
The pattern you choose works perfect with the batiks!
    Love them!

  7. I love both of them! It's been a while since I've made a batik quilt, but your beautiful quilt makes me want to make another.

  8. Good Job Pauline on your finishes. Both will be loved. The B.Bear quilt is especially cheerful. My grandchildren love the B. Bears. I need you to send some fairy finish dust this way. The year is about half over and I have not "finished" anything for the year. I have done lots of piecing but not a complete finish. Janita

  9. Well done on both finishes. I am still amazed at what you are getting done when there is so much to do for moving. Our PA crew are going through the home selling and moving plans, too.

  10. Your H2H quilt is so sweet and happy! Thanks for participating in the Challenge this year, Pauline!
