A Lovely Year of Finishes...

I've decided to put some pressure on myself.
I have a zillion UFO's and I want to finish some of them.

I have a tumbling block quilt that I started about 4 years ago.
The soft lilac and green prints are perfect for a quilt
for a little girl...or a big girl!!
It is a twin size and there is enough fabric left to make a matching pillow case.
I have the backing to piece yet and then
it will be ready to load on the long arm.

I am linking this UFO up to A Lovely Year of Finishes.
It will be my October finish.

I should have joined in January and would have 9 UFO's finished already.
Clink on the button on my side bar to find out more or visit
Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts
and Melissa from Sew BitterSweet Designs.
They are encouraging us to have A Lovely Year of Finishes!!

I have some projects I have been working on and will share them with you soon.
192 half square triangles
trimmed
and now I have 192 perfectly trimmed 4-1/2" half square triangles.
OK, that is all you get to see for now!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is October
I will be giving away this Tammy Bag...it is perfect for a sewing kit.
Sorry, the miniature handmade bears are not included...they are the cutest!!
I will randomly pick a winner from comments posted to my blog
during the month of October.
The winner will be picked on October 31st.

hugs and happy stitching

Your quilt is pretty, I like the colors. Can't wait to see what you make out of all those half square triangles.

Vickie said it all.... but I wondered what you will do with the trimmings? And what pattern of quilting will you do on the "tumbling blocks"?

Your tumbler quilt is so sweet...a very gentle quilt. Don't we all love those scraps after squaring up! Your HSTs are perfect! And so generous of you to offer that Tammy bag as a giveaway. You did a wonderful job. Thanks for the chance!

The colours in the first picture are so lovely. Soft greens with sweet lila. Adorable.

I feel the pain of trimming al those hst's. Aren't they lovely when they are all trimmed up and ready to use.

Pretty quilt I love the soft colors. It was eight years this summer since I had breast cancer. I miss that Stratford doesn't do quilt show anymore
I hope one day that I will getto meet you..

Yes, the time does come when we have to admit there are too many UFOs. Good luck with your plans. I have recently sandwiched 5 quilts and now that I can get back to using my machine I am ready to start quilting.
Hope we can both stay focused!!
