Heather Ross Quilts ****edited****

My DDIL introduced me to Heather Ross fabrics a few years ago when
Mendocino and Lightning Bugs was readily available at the quilt stores.

This is some of my Lightning Bug collection...........

For Christmas that year I had bought 3 Lightning Bugs quilt kits from my LQS.
I gave DDIL one.....as she wanted to get back into quilting and what a perfect gift it was.
She luved it and finished her's long before I finished mine.....
in fact mine still needs the binding....
and it is not like me to leave a quilt unfinished when only the binding is left to do......
...after all the binding is my favorite part of quilt making.

This is mine without the binding....

Last summer my granddaughter was getting a new bedroom.....
The twin beds were painted turquoise
and she picked Heather Ross' Mendocino fabrics for her quilts.
I finally got them quilted....no not by me....
and I bound one in the car on our way to Canada and
finished the second one before we had to head back home.

...I luv the stitching.....the mermaids are perfect.

Hi Pauline.
These quilts look great. Aren't the fabrics and the colours lovely? The photo of the one on the bed is just delightful. Love the quilting on them. Beautiful detail and so gorgeous!

Thank you for the opportunity to win something cute! I have been working on a Halloween quilt for a silent auction for the local historical society & museum's gala fundraiser. I should have it all finished tonight. I hope. Or tomorrow at the latest.

Does thinking count as "working on"? I'm trying to figure out how to make a quilt for my little guy. I have some fat quarters of knights that really can't be cut and I'm trying to figure out how to put them together....by Christmas. That may be a bit ambitious.

Love what you've done with the Heather Ross. I wish I had some Ghastlies to be doing something with but no such luck. I have mostly been catching up with my swap items because I've been so busy lately. I want to start on some of my projects that I need to make by Christmas now. Thanks for a chance at your giveaway. I am a follower.

You know how much I love Heather's fabrics. Those mermaid quilts are so adorable! I'm glad I found the perfect mermaids for the quilting on them. Now when I make a mermaid quilt I will be able to use them too. I love your tea towel and would love to win yours. I am patiently waiting for your Ghastlies projects although I have seen them all in person! (You guys are in for a TREAT, and that's no trick!) Oh and you know what I'm working on, chenille blankets. I am your follower too.

I love the mermaids. I am trying to get my son's quilt done so I can put it in the mail. I just finished piecing a blue batik for my son's fiancee.

The mermaids are just darling! I'm very impressed by your weight loss goals and your steady progress - I wish I were doing it with you. I'm having company for the next couple of weeks but maybe after that....blessings, marlene
