Heather Ross Quilts ****edited****

My DDIL introduced me to Heather Ross fabrics a few years ago when
Mendocino and Lightning Bugs was readily available at the quilt stores.

This is some of my Lightning Bug collection...........

For Christmas that year I had bought 3 Lightning Bugs quilt kits from my LQS.
I gave DDIL one.....as she wanted to get back into quilting and what a perfect gift it was.
She luved it and finished her's long before I finished mine.....
in fact mine still needs the binding....
and it is not like me to leave a quilt unfinished when only the binding is left to do......
...after all the binding is my favorite part of quilt making.

This is mine without the binding....

Last summer my granddaughter was getting a new bedroom.....
The twin beds were painted turquoise
and she picked Heather Ross' Mendocino fabrics for her quilts.
I finally got them quilted....no not by me....
and I bound one in the car on our way to Canada and
finished the second one before we had to head back home.

...I luv the stitching.....the mermaids are perfect.

  7. Does thinking count as "working on"? I'm trying to figure out how to make a quilt for my little guy. I have some fat quarters of knights that really can't be cut and I'm trying to figure out how to put them together....by Christmas. That may be a bit ambitious.
