Superpower blog hop...final day...time to reveal my superpower...

First let me thank Mdm Samm for believing in me to be
your cheerleader for this hop!!
She is the one with sEw many superpowers and the one
that stands out to me
...is her leadership...
she is a confidence builder and encourages us all!!
Thank you Mdm Samm!!

Secondly I would like to thank DMC for sponsoring this blog hop.
It was the first time a sponsor participated with a blog posting!
It was fun to read Emma Broidery's blog!
Thank you DMC!!

Now...it's time to reveal my superpower...
I really struggled with this...'superpower' theme
...as I'm not one to brag about what I am good at
...I'm not one to draw attention to myself.
I am usually in the background...I'm not a leader, always a follower.
I'd say I'm a pretty good cook...baker...procrastinator...
I love to share and to give...
I love to work with needle, thread, floss, perle cotton and yarn.
I love to work with my sewing machine...sEw I am going to say
my superpower is quilting, embroidering and crafting.

I made a few projects I hope you enjoy my superpower parade...

First up is a sewing machine cover.
The embroidery is a Rag Tag Stitchin' pattern by
Michelle Ridgway
Her pattern was for a tote bag...
I changed the word Notion to Machine
and enlarged the pattern to 125%.
Next up is a Tammy Bag...I luv these bags...
with a twist from the original pattern.
I added embroidery...S for sewing, or it could be S for your initial.
The Stitchery Alphabet pattern is also one of Michelle's designs.
She also designed a Baby Alphabet and a Noel Alphabet...
and lots of other embroidery designs to feed your creativity!!
You can find Michelle's patterns at Crazy Quilt Girl Fabric Shop
and the Tammy Bag pattern designed by Mdm Samm at Craftsy .

I also made a few message boards using chalk cloth...
I embroidered on unbleached osnaburg fabric
and used Moda's Mama Said Sew plaid by Sweetwater to bind them.
There is a little pocket on the bottom for the chalk.

The Hugs and Kisses patterns are by Helen Stubbings
They are 2 patterns from her 'Thought of the Month' series.

I will be making more of these !!

Here is the schedule for the final day of the hop...
it is always sad to see the hops end.

Please leave a sweet comment
to the ladies revealing their superpowers today...
...lets make their hearts sing.
Mme Samm has a Pinterest board for each of the blog hops...
be sure to check them out....sew much inspiration!!!

  49. I haven't had much time to stitch lately but will be doing up some wall hangings with yours as inspiration. My poor sewing machine keeps getting covered with a sheet, so phase 2 may be a cover. I had to laugh reading your "about me" just because i am directionally challenged too. I am always calling my daughter--"I don't know where I am, help" and she always says "Look around you mom, what do you see?" Then she guides me back on track. Thank Goodness for cell phones, eh? LOL.

  50. Wow! Your stitching is beautiful. You are so inspirational! I would never have thought of personalizing my sewing machine cover, but what a great idea! Love it! And those Tammy purses are the bomb! Your needlework is magnificent!

  76. I have enjoy following along, even though I didn't participate. I don't sew well under timelines so I usually don't join QAL's. I never know when I can sneak into the machine and sew a few lines. Wait...I could be sewing right now instead of going round and round and looking at all the amazing things you bloggers share with us! Sigh!!! LOL
