It's Wicked Wednesday...

and it is my day to be wicked.
A big thank you to our wicked hostess Wendy of Why Not Quilt
and to the wicked Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt
for all their hard work organizing this WICKED blog hop!

The first project is a Halloween bag made with outdoor screening.
I hand embroidered the pumpkins with black Aurifil 12 wt embroidery cotton.
The pattern is from Bird Brain Design - Trick or Treat Pumpkins
The other design on the pattern is sEw dang cute and I will be making it too...

The block finishes at 12" x 12".
The paper pieced pumpkin block was one I found in an
old Fons and Porter's magazine
from September/October 2004, the designer is Carol Morrissey.
It is a 10.5" x 10.5" block.
I just may have to make 8 more jacks blocks,
paper piece some candy corn blocks,
and add some sashing, oh yes!!!  I can do this...for next Halloween!
I luv this quilt...it's a good paper piecing project.
Don't you luv it too??

The last block is from a "Oh My Bloomin' Threads!" pattern
the pattern is called Park Your Broom
The hand embroidered blocks measure 10.5" x 10.5",
I added some paper piecing  rectangles to the bottom...
...sashed it with Kona black then bound with the swirl fabric.
It compliments my mini table topper I stitched last year called Eeek....
...I think I will hang them side by side on the wall.
Please visit the other wicked blogs as they have
some wicked blocks and wicked projects to share too!

  1. Wonderful as always, Pauline! The pumpkin stitchery is perfect as a panel for the bag. Love it. I think I need to master the art of paper piecing because that pumpkin looks great, too.
Great idea to match up this year's stitchery wit the one from last year. Is this going to become an annual occurrence? Just imagine how many cute little hangings you will accumulate.
    A fantastic display of Wickedness!
