I'm not sure the name of the pattern.
The body of the bear is made with flannel.
I will pick the winner Saturday March 10.
This give away is CLOSED
happy stitching

Hi Miss Pauline,
ReplyDeleteCan a teddy bear enter your giveaway? I am a teddy bear and I collect bunnies. My Mom (of course) collects teddy bears and has about 100 bears in her collection.
I love the mug rug AND your "bee-u-tee-ful" teddy bear girl. Does she have a name?
Heaps of Hugs,
Prudence
Adorable table runner and thanks for the post over with Madame Samm! And can you believe it - I collect chickens! I have liked them since I was a little girl. Thanks and I am a follower. I enjoy reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteI collect mice and dragon figurines. I love the Real Musgrave (discountinued) Pocket dragons and any mice figurines that take my fancy. I am just waiting for a new display cabinet and then I will be really happy.
ReplyDeleteMy mum collects chooks so I love your runner. I am a follower.
HI Pauline what a wonderful pattern for the tablerunner. I will defiantly be giving this a try and it would look lovely on my kitchen table as I have chickens in my kitchen.. Yes I do collect anything that has to do with the epic movie "Gone with the Wind" and anything affiliated with "Betty Boop" I have been a follower since the days of "Ghastlie" remember them...take care and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYour teddies are terrific! I collect Santas but they are put away during the year. Guess I have to start collecting something that will be around me for the rest of the year. Maybe chicken table-runners! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI collect dachshunds! Hubby and I are owned by four DRNA rescues and one from our vet who was surrendered by her previous family due to inability to pay for her vet bills (and yes, my hubby is unemployed, but he fell for her big sad soulful eyes- all she has to do is bark once, regally, and he comes running from whatever part of the house he is in to see what his Owner requests of him!)I also collect Longaberger and stuffed animals!
ReplyDeleteYour table runner is perfect because I collect hens and roosters! I just love the wire-inspired fabrics you used - great job!
ReplyDeleteOh! I love this table runner! We have three hens at home, one is like the spotty grey on the pattern and the other two are red...! I'd love to win it!
ReplyDeleteI collect old china tea cups.
Blue Willow dishes...the kind that say From Japan on the back...that's my only collection. Well, I do have a few crosses, a few quilts, a few..... :). Blessings, Marlene
ReplyDeleteLOVE the process of the runner and you know that I have to ask you who makes the chicken wire fabric - having 2 color ways in the runner is awesome
ReplyDeleteI collect rubber duckies - especially one celebrating an event or holiday
Love the fabrics in your table runner! I would love to win it!
ReplyDeleteI collect angels, but they are boy angel and girl angel together or one of each of the same style.
Great tutorial, love the fabric you used. I've never tried quilt as you go but think this would be the perfect project to give it a try. Thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteKris
I have a small collection of teapots. Thanks very much for a chance to win this beautiful runner. Enjoyed your tutorial.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your tutorial. I've used the quilt as you go method only once for a runner, but it turned out really well and was much faster.
ReplyDeleteAs for collecting things, I've thought about have a collection of something many times, but then I worry that I wouldn't have a place to put them and they'd become clutter...so I never had. If that wasn't a concern...I'd collect teapots or elephants. :)

Pauline, I love chickens! I read you post on Sew We Quilt this morning and so enjoyed it. I still consider myself a newbie in quilting and haven't done a quilt as you go as of yet. I love your table runner. I am a new follower. I collect cows and chickens. I have more cows than chickens, though. I would love to win one of your runners to go on my new kitchen table. :D God Bless
ReplyDeleteLove the tutorial. Thanks for sharing and for the cute giveaway. I use to be a collector of snowmen and then we moved to a smaller home. Now I really don't collect anything but lately I am really into vintage dishes. I guess I think they can be used and that makes it feel ok to collect them. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tutorial. I collect Thimbles. Funny thing is, my collection was started before I was a quilter.
ReplyDeleteI collect rooster items to use in my kitchen/dining area. I don't have a lot, but it's fun shopping for them.

ReplyDeleteMy Best friend Margaret's maiden name is Chicken and I have been giving her things that are Chicken. A purse that looks like a setting hen, A cookie jar, A real Rubber Chicken etc. This table runner would be GREAT! to place the chicken deviled eggs tray onto it! Love you tutorial.
ReplyDeletequiltnrobin@nwi.net
I collect teapots and tea cups. I began collecting the tea cups when I was a teenager so I've been at it for quite awhile. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your giveaway for the wonderful table runner. Thanks for the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteThe table runner is beautiful. We used to keep chickens until last year when we got a puppy. He wouldn't leave them alone, he's a retriever and kept trying to bring them to us. We had to give them away to a friend in the end.
ReplyDeleteAs for collecting, l collect me to you teddy ornaments.
Oh, I love that runner!! OK, I know you said we couldn't say "fabric"...but I collect CHICKEN fabric...LOL...I have to call it a collection since I haven't cut into them (no, I will not admit to how much I have...LOL)...I also collect the large Jim Shore Angels (primarily the ones with scenic skirts)...Have a great day and thanks for the opportunity!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the great table runner tutorial and the generous giveaway!
Having grown up on a chicken farm, I'm always looking for new chicken related fabric. We lived next to a farmer who raised cattle and I always loved the sound of the cow bells.....so I have a cow bell collection

Great runner! I actually collect chicken fabric but I haven't used any yet! I also collect chairs! every time I promise my husband no more I see one that I just have to have!
ReplyDeleteI collect duckies! Well, I used to, anyway...that was before I started collecting fabric. LOL I have always loved this fabric, and have been searching on the web for some. I appreciate the wonderful tut you did on SewWeQuilt!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tutorial! I collect rocks from different places to put in my flower beds!
ReplyDeleteI recognised your fabric as familiar (there is a length of it in my own stash) and started reading in earnest to find out how you handled it, very nicely too! Thanks for the lovely and practical example of chooky decor.. I'm encouraged to get mine out and put it to use now. I started collecting various pottery and porcelain lines but found it to be rather expensive and resulted in a home full of 'things'. Unless you have a huge home this can take over and the functionality of our space is more precious to me now. I was relieved to give them away and make room for a more functional hobby, using my hands.
ReplyDeletetoni-anne grace(at)amnet(dot)net(dot)au
The table runner is so cute...and perfect for my table, of course, lol
ReplyDeleteI notice I am not the only commentor with real live pet chickens...have 15 newborns on the way!

Thank you for sharing your talent!!! themusicroom@hotmail.com
Lovely table runner. :) I collect dust. HA! Just popped into my head. No - honestly, I collect vintage sheets.
ReplyDeleteI saw your post at stash manicure and think the runner is so cute. I like the chicken wire around the chickens so they don't go running everywhere Funny! I am a follower. I do collect a few things other than fabric. I guess cardinals would be my favorite. I love your bear mug rug. I have wanted to try some embroidered ones but hadn't yet gotten to it. Love the runner. I have a few little collections. I just add to them when I find something I just cannot pass up. I do not have an abundance of any one thing though. I have a few Scottie dog items through my house including a real live furry one. A few chickens including some real live feathered ones. I also have a few bears sitting around my house, no real live furry ones though.lol And I have a few favored tea cup sets. And I love the fabric you used in the runner and would love to see it sitting on one of my tables, maybe with a chicken sitting in the center. Love coming to visit you!
ReplyDeleteLovely tutorial! I collect Holly Hobbie for my sewing room decor, I have roosters in the kitchen along with vintage rolling pins and hand utensils such as whisks and beaters. I'm always on the lookout for books by Harold Bell Wright, Lloyd C Douglas, Gene Stratton Porter, etc. One major challenge I face with my love of old or vintage items is that I live in a community that is only about 60 years old with a fairly low population. So my finds are from trips that we take "out"!
ReplyDeleteI am a coumputer geek not sure if its collecting but I have twice as many computers in the house as people. For example on my desk sits 2 computers side by side each with dual monitors.'

I can only thing that I collect is bird ornaments... we have them in wood, glass, fabric and in January I discovered the sweetest and cutest wee owl in the backyard (unfortunately it was dead) but we are going to have it stuffed! Thanks for the chance!

I think the tablerunner looks great! I have a few hen and rooster items in my kitchen, since my DH was born in the year of the rooster. I collect white vases and planters and other dishes. Thanks for the chance to win the runner.
ReplyDeleteI collect green depression glass. It started with some plates from my DHs grandmother's estate when she passed. My mother continued to supply me on special occasions until she passed. Now I pretty much am on my own. I don't actively add to it because I have so many pieces. But I do enjoy using it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your tutorial on Sew We Quilt, I don't really collect things but stuff does collect around here all the same, does dust count? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm entering this giveaway because my mother collects roosters, and everyone seems to give her roosters, and she is making a rooster quilt (a sweet blogger sent her rooster and chicken fabric scraps too).... yet what she doesn't have is a rooster table runner! As I live with my Mom, I live roosters vicariously! She has rooster and chicken pieces of yard art. These are so realistic that a hawk dove down to nab a meal, fought that concrete rooster, and then gave up and flew off. We saw it happen!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me into your drawing - and I am a follower too. Enjoyed the post on SewWeQuilt too.
I adore chickens so this is right up my alley :) I collect little glass "critter" beads... I have about a hundred!
ReplyDeleteJust dropping by to say, Great post at Sew We Quilt. I always love it when you post.

ReplyDeleteI collect apple items for kitchen decor, but I'd love that runner for my sister who collects chickens!
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was in elementary school I was only working part-time so I had a bit of free time. If he was studying something in school, I found a cookie cutter for it and made the class cookies. I still collect cookie cutters even though today's his 22 birthday. Decorated cutout cookies bring a smile to everyone's face! You just can't think about the fact that what it took you hours to create is usually gone in under 15 minutes...!
ReplyDeletelove a good giveaway
ReplyDeleteI love the chicken runner. I collect dragonflies and cobalt blue glassware. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteLove the way the table runner came out. And what do I collect? Hmmm.... It's amazing, but at different times in our lives I guess we collect different things. Right now my favorite thing to collect is moments with and hugs and kisses from my grandson. :)

ReplyDeleterjs682 at yahoo dot com
Besides my fabric stash I collect limited edition Fairy figurines and plates (the Irish in me). I also have a collection of Cougar prints, pictures and a plate.

I love how your runner turned out. Love the fabric as well. I'd love to give the quilt as you go method a try. If I can combine the quilting with the sewing at the same time, I'm game. I'm decorating my kitchen with chickens now. I was decorating with cows but after many years I wanted a change. One thing I collect is magnets, the kind you put on your icebox. Everywhere I travel and where friends and family travel, I have a magnet. It's perfect as they are not big, not expensive and are lots of fun. I have them from all over the world. A friend just brought me a magnet from Sweden that she gave me today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway and a chance to win a beautiful runner.
usairdoll(at)gmail(dot)com
My daughter's name is Hope and I collect things with her name.
ReplyDeleteI also collect roosters. I have about 25 of them now and the chicken table runner would be a great addition.
I collect price tag.. Yup..I'm serious..
ReplyDeleteOh Gosh I collect so many things. My favorite was my bell collection. Lately I have been collecting wind chimes. BTW I would love to win that runner.
ReplyDeletecathy
I also collect bears. I like the woodsy/cabin look so I collect bears and pine trees to go along with them. My daughter recently did her new kitchen with a chicken theme. It's so cute. I'd love to give her a runner.
ReplyDeleteI also do collect lots of things. My favorite would be cobalt blue glass. The blue so rich and so bright it almost hurts your eyes to look at it.
ReplyDeleteOne day I plan to make a black, white, and BLUE all over quilt :-)
Lately - I have been collecting 30's reproduction fabric.
Especially the Scotty dogs. I am searching for some Aunt Grace 15th Anniversary Scotty Dog fabric - the black dog with red coat on cream/white background with tiny black dots on it.
Thank you for the chance to win! :-)
Cathy
I might be too late, but I just saw your tutorial. I am very much into chickens. This would be fun to win. Either way, thank you for sharing such a great tutorial.

I've bought at least 4 sets this past year just to change up the table settings with the seasons. But it is getting hard to store them all and change them out :P But I will persevere for now anyway!
