Fall-into-fall Giveaway

Thank you for visiting........

This post was edited Friday afternoon October 1st.....I've decided to extend the giveaway to current followers or new followers from Canada.

This is the day we have been waiting for.......let the fun begin.  Click on the scarecrow button and find all the giveaway bloggers that are participating.

I'm a new blogger and this is my first giveaway.  I'm hoping you like it.

If you like Halloween you will love it.

If you like Amanda Jean's designs from Crazy Mom Quilts you will love it and .......an autographed pattern "Fair and Square" by Amanda Jean is included. Thanks bunches Amanda Jean.

It is a Halloween quilt kit that includes all fabric for the top and binding.  It measures 48" x 66" and the backgound fabric is Kona Black.

This quilt kit is packaged in a quilted Halloween Schlep bag made by me. They are wonderful bags. If you win this giveaway you will want a different bag for every season....I love the Christmas ones. Go shopping and someone at the checkout is likely to say "did you make your bag"? They are fun to make and I've made many.........

Also included will be a Halloween surprise.

schlep bag 3

To enter the giveaway.........

...........leave an encouraging comment for a new blogger saying why you love blogland and you will get 1 chance to win. Comments short and sweet are OK.

...........leave a 2nd comment telling me you are a follower already and if you have left me a comment in a past post.  It doesn't matter if you say no.  You will still get a 2nd entry just because you are a follower already.  BOO HOO I only had 13 followers at the start of this giveaway.   Future comments are always welcome.

..........if you become a new follower you will get a 2nd chance but you must leave a separate comment telling me you are a new follower and hopefully you will leave me a comment in the future.  Short and sweet ones are great.

.........for a 3rd chance visit Mama Spark's blog, click on the Star Quilt Button  on the top left.  One click and it takes you directly to her quilt and the voting page.   Come back to my blog and tell me what # her quilt is.  There are 15 finalists in the contest and it closes on October 4....so if you want to vote for her do it before then.  You will get a 3rd chance just by leaving a comment on this blog telling me what # her quilt is.

If I reach 100 followers from this giveaway I'll draw a second giveaway......a Christmas Schlep Bag.

......... Mama Spark has a Fall-into-fall Giveaway for you and if you love this one you are going to love hers too.   Most times I call her Pam.......sometimes Mama Spark and in the few blogs I've written I usually call her TAP...... and it stands for "The Amazing Pam".  Become a follower and you will know why....she is amazing.  She has introduced me to this wonderful world of blogging.  Thank you TAP.

If you are the winner...I must be able to contact with you. Make sure your email address is valid and available in your blog ........if you do not have a blog.... include your email address in all your comments.  If I can not contact you I will have to draw another name.

Now for the last part of business.  I'm sorry to say that for this giveaway I am going to limit it to the US only.   I have decided to extend the giveaway to anyone living in Canada......but you must be a follower already or become a new follower to be able to win.  If you have commented already and you are feeling sad......... follow the instructions above and you will get 3 chances to win too.   I am new at this.... so please bear with me..... and please come back and visit me again......... Thank you to everyone in blogland for all your encouragement.

Hugs

Hello, I am a new follower.

I have been blogging for a few years now. I don't blog every day, just when I feel the need or have something to share. I like to show my projects, quilt and non-quilt related. I have made some wonderful friends through blogging and wouldn't have met these lovely people if I had not done this. When I started out, I didn't think anyone would care or want to hear what I had to say. All of my friends stay in touch with me to see what I'm doing. Several call me and ask me what's wrong if I don't post. I have learned alot from other bloggers and their tutorials. Blogging is now a part of me and I don't think I'll ever be able to stop. Good luck and I hope you continue to blog.

Linda said...

Hi, I'm a fairly new blogger as well. I don't put too much pressure on myself about my blog, because I only have a bit of time to dedicate to it and because it's for me. So I blog about quilts but about other things that strike my fancy too. I've decided that it's nice when people follow and to get comments but I'm not going to be desperate about it - again in the end the blog is most important to me. Hopefully I'll make some friends (and I have made some already. Thanks for a chance to win your prize. I love Halloween fabric. I'm a Canadian so was thrilled to see you changed your rules.

New follower here from Ontario - small world - I was in Waterloo a few weeks ago visiting Lens Mills :D

Blogland is incredible - it's amazing to get to "know" people (usually from far off places!) by reading about their lives on a computer screen. I've met many internet people over the years, and in fact will be going to visit one of them in Pennsylvania in 2 weeks, hehe (hi, Mickie!) :) Let's not forget about the tutorials that bloggers are so generous in sharing ... and the inspirational photos and links and pictures ... blogland is THE BEST!

teresamnj said...

Well hello there! Thank you for the lovely comments you left on my blog. Coincidentally, I, too, only had 13 followers at the start of the "Fall into Fall" giveaway. I've been blogging for about 9 months now, posting my first post on January 22, 2009. It's taken me a while to get into a rhythm though. I felt I was either posting too lengthy posts, or too far in between. Then I just decided I wasn't going to worry about it anymore, and just let it come naturally. I feel like I'm talking to friends when I'm writing a post, and I love when I get comments back. As you can see, I can get very wordy, and did not follow your instructions to keep it short and to the point. Oops!

teresamnj said...

What a wonderful prize! I've been wanting to make a bag with that pattern. I just discovered your blog, thanks to Mama Spark, whom I just found last week. You guys sound like a lot of fun.

I think that it is great that you can write and make everyone want to read it. I learn so much from blogs and hey you are one up on me I don't have a blog yet. So you are doing great. Thanks for the great giveaway.

I think the biggest thing to remember about blogging is that while feedback is great - it's what you think about yourself and your work that matters most.

I'm addicted to blog land. Spend way to much time here. Its a great way to find hints and quilting ideas along with organization ideas and of course the best one, help whenever you need it.

Well I have looked and looked for Mama Sparks star quilt button but can't seem to find it. I have read where you had to vote before the 4th so maybe the button is gone I don't know. I wish I could have see her quilt and the others. From what I have read in the comments it was #9. Does this still count as a post?

I am a reader right now and not a blogger-yet I am seeing how they run and what people do with blogging. I have enjoyed visiting all the blogs and have done lots of reading!
Thanks for the lovely giveaway

I went to Pams blog. I was already a follower there - yeah! I missed the star quilt voting - but what an honor to be in it! I searched and searched but could not find what number quilt she was - I did not want to "cheat" and look at earlier comments either. You may disqualify this chance if you like - but I did find her quilt and it was lovely.
