My One Monthly Goal for February...

I've managed to get a wee bit of stitching done this week.
...in between doing all the things necessary to sell our house.
I'm making a few Tammy Bag Sewing Kits...
one for a friend who loves 30's fabrics as much as I do.
I thought I would give her a choice of fabrics.

The embroidery is from the Stitcher's Alphabet pattern
designed by  Michelle Ridgway.
Her pattern company is Rag-Tag Stitchin'.

Some of Michelle's patterns are available in the USA at
Corinna has sold out of the Stitcher's Alphabet
but she does have
Alphabet Noel and Baby Alphabet in stock.
The Baby Alphabet would make the cutest baby quilt.

Mdm Samm designed the Tammy Bag in 2013.
It is one of my favorite bags to make...I love this bag!!

My February goal for OMG is to finish the 2 Tammy Bags.
I will be making matching needle keepers
and collapsible thread catchers.
They do make the perfect gift for anyone that plays needle and thread.

I'm linking up to Heidi's goal setting party
Thanks for hosting Heidi!!
RedLetterQuilts

Happy stitching everyone...

The winner of an alphabet Rag-tag Stitchin' pattern is

Stitching By The Lake
Congratulations Marlene

I've sent Marlene an email and she is thrilled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my August goal for
A Lovely Year of Finishes I am going to
sew the binding on 3 fleece blankets.
The satin binding has been pinned to the fleece for a few years...
yes a few years!!
If I have a deadline...I will get them finished.
I would also like to have the blocks traced for
Crabapple Hill's Vintage Tin pattern...
stitching will come later...maybe September's goal.
There are lots of links at Sew BitterSweet Designs or Fiber of All Sorts
who have posted goals for August...check them out.
Have a wonderful Friday!!
Superpower blog hop...final day...time to reveal my superpower...
First let me thank Mdm Samm for believing in me to be
your cheerleader for this hop!!
She is the one with sEw many superpowers and the one
that stands out to me
...is her leadership...
she is a confidence builder and encourages us all!!
Thank you Mdm Samm!!
Secondly I would like to thank DMC for sponsoring this blog hop.
It was the first time a sponsor participated with a blog posting!
It was fun to read Emma Broidery's blog!
Thank you DMC!!
Now...it's time to reveal my superpower...
I really struggled with this...'superpower' theme
...as I'm not one to brag about what I am good at
...I'm not one to draw attention to myself.
I am usually in the background...I'm not a leader, always a follower.
I'd say I'm a pretty good cook...baker...procrastinator...
I love to share and to give...
I love to work with needle, thread, floss, perle cotton and yarn.
I love to work with my sewing machine...sEw I am going to say
my superpower is quilting, embroidering and crafting.
I made a few projects I hope you enjoy my superpower parade...
First up is a sewing machine cover.
The embroidery is a Rag Tag Stitchin' pattern by
Michelle Ridgway
Her pattern was for a tote bag...
I changed the word Notion to Machine
and enlarged the pattern to 125%.
Next up is a Tammy Bag...I luv these bags...
with a twist from the original pattern.
I added embroidery...S for sewing, or it could be S for your initial.
The Stitchery Alphabet pattern is also one of Michelle's designs.
She also designed a Baby Alphabet and a Noel Alphabet...
and lots of other embroidery designs to feed your creativity!!
You can find Michelle's patterns at Crazy Quilt Girl Fabric Shop
and the Tammy Bag pattern designed by Mdm Samm at Craftsy .
I also made a few message boards using chalk cloth...
I embroidered on unbleached osnaburg fabric
and used Moda's Mama Said Sew plaid by Sweetwater to bind them.
There is a little pocket on the bottom for the chalk.
The Hugs and Kisses patterns are by Helen Stubbings
They are 2 patterns from her 'Thought of the Month' series.
I will be making more of these !!
Here is the schedule for the final day of the hop...
it is always sad to see the hops end.
Please leave a sweet comment
to the ladies revealing their superpowers today...
...lets make their hearts sing.
Tammy Project Bag and a giveaway coming soon...
...where does the time go..today is day 4 of the
Tammy Project Bag Blog Hop
I'm so glad to be participating in this fun blog hop
hosted by Mdm Samm at Sew We Quilt.
Thank you Mdm Samm for making this blog hop possible
and for designing this sweet bag pattern...I luv it!!
I will definitely be making more of them.
My first bag is a sewing kit....
...a bag I can carry all my hand sewing supplies when travelling in the car
or taking to quilting.
The outside fabric is a sewing print by Debbie Mumm with an
orange pin dot by Moda.
a view of the inside...
yes, all these goodies can fit into the bag!!
My second bag is for my embroidery projects.
It's a black gingham on the outside
with a yellow, orange and white floral print lining.
The crocheted flower has a yellow button center.
You will find some needles, a variety of flosses,
tracing pens, scissors and patterns...
...I was able to fit 6 patterns in the bag.
It definitely holds more than you think.
Some of my favorite embroidery patterns lately are Rag-Tag Stitchin'
designed by
Michelle Ridgway...an Australian designer.
Why Knot Kwilt
**** Quilt-N-Queen--me--****
Sew We Quilt
I've been sewing like a mad woman and it is now time to share
my parade of Hugs and  Kisses projects.
I luv embroidered tea towels with and without the crocheted edgings!!
The angel stitchery is a free design by Michelle Ridgway called Heavenly Friends...
Michelle is an Australian designer with patterns for sale on her blog.
I luv her designs...she sure has lots of cuteness to stitch!
The 4 patch heart stitchery is a pattern from Birdbrain Designs.
Robin offers lots of free stitchery designs and
has just added a few new designs to her website.
Next up is a pillow, also a free stitchery design by Lynette Anderson.
I did not follow Lynette's instructions to make the pillow
 I enlarged the stitchery and used a
9-1/2" (unfinshed) background square.
The 4 red fabrics are cut at 2" wide and the taupe fabric is cut at 2-1/2" wide.
I combined 2 of Lynette's fabric lines
Scandinavian Christmas and Christmas Fun fabrics.
The Christmas Fun fabrics are available at Crazyquiltgirl.
~~~~~~~~~~~
My next project is a Valentine quilt...58" x 58".
Here it is hanging on the clothes line....snow on the ground.
the colors are a bit off
I bought the fabric about 5 or 6 years ago and stashed it
.....until last week.
I told you I was sewing like a mad woman!
It was a panel of 9 vintage Valentine hankies with
coordinating Be My Valentine fabrics by Exclusively Quilters
...this picture has better color
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My last project is a table runner....I luv it's simplicity!
It is a free pattern by  Sherri at A Quilting Life
I quilted it with hearts and daisies, and finished it with a 2 fabric binding.
I used some of the left over fabrics from the quilt to make the table runner....
and still have fabric left to make another one.
So....let's have a giveaway....
Would you like to win the table runner??
I'm giving it away to one lucky follower...
A few simple rules:
1.  tell me where you live
2. what was your favorite project in my Hugs and Kisses parade.
3.  be a follower of my blog
4.  one comment only
5.  I must have an email to contact you.
Giveaway ends midnight Friday February 22 and will mail it anywhere...
