Table Topper Blog Hop....

...hosted by Mme Samm at Sew I Quilt

Today is my day and I'm 'tickled pink' that Mme Samm asked me to participate.
Thank you Mme Samm for always believing in me...

The table topper frames are available at Ackfeldwire .

I'm excited about my creations and hope you like them too.
The first one is a message board...

...made with chalk cloth,
the fabric is Java by Deb Strain for Moda....it was in my stash.

The embroidery is Aunt Martha's iron on transfer called Java Break #3997.
I purchased it at Joann Fabrics.
There are 9 different embroidery patterns that would be great on
some tea towels and pot holders too....they are on my 'to do' list.
The bottom of the message board has pockets....
with one to hold the chalk
and the other to hold cards or bills that have to be mailed.

My second topper is my Cafe Mocha  message board...
In the larger pocket are cards I received.

Topper # 3 is pretty special to me.
The verse on the table topper was printed by my DGD1.
when she was just learning to print.
 a special Christmas gift to me.
It was framed in a wooden embroidery hoop
and has always been in my sewing studio.
I removed it from the embroidery hoop and cut it down to make
the topper....I luv it!!
I'm going to hang it on the wall...(o:

The verse is hard to see but it reads....

'Even when I can't see you
I love you all the time'
She lives in Canada and I'm in Michigan.

It was a page from a book I gave her when she was a baby.
The book was called 'I Love You All The Time'
by Jessica Elin Hirschman & Jennifer Elin Cole

And for my last topper I have a Halloween one!

The embroidery is from the pattern by Oh My Bloomin' Threads
designed by Ronene Wilkinson
and it is called Eeek.
The bottom are log cabin paper pieced blocks.

Thanks for stopping by to see my parade of table toppers.
and now I have a giveaway...a chance to win

one of the coffee message boards
and the
Halloween embroidery pattern.

The pattern shows the embroidery made into a pillow.

Please let me know if you are interested in a tutorial for the message board.
It there is enough interest I will do a tutorial for them in May.
I purchased the chalk board fabric at Fabric.com.

I'm freaking out....

....IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS SLEEPING!!!

Last week many bloggers have complained about the new Blogger format.

Mine didn't change until today!!
and let me tell you...Mr. Blogger...you couldn't have picked a worse day.

Today I have to finish my posting for Mme Samm's Springtime Blog Hop
I have a Dr. appointment and other commitments.
I'm sure you all know that my computer and I are not compatible....
HE stresses me out big time.
Yes my computer is a HE....only a HE can do this to me.
It always takes me forever to write my posts...
like hours and hours, now it will take me days.

Well I figured out how to post a picture...yippee, so far so good!!!

I would like to share with you a piece of artwork I received from my DGD1...
...she was 3 or 4 years old
and it brought happy tears to my eyes when I opened it Christmas morning years ago.

Wish me luck with my posting tomorrow, I'm off to get ready for the Dr....lucky me!!!
...by the way...I won't be buying my lottery ticket today.

I can do this, I can do this, I can do this!!!

Oh my word!!! These aprons are the cutest ever!!! Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great giveaway!!! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The winner from my blog is
# 87 Bonnie Gay
You've really been busy, all your finished UFO's are beautiful. The apron is cute, I have a friend who would love one and since it seems easy enough I might even make one for me. I always forget to put an apron on until I am covered in flour or spaghetti sauce. Granny's garden probably would not show the splatters as much but I like the Moda Pastel Plaid best.Bonnie Gay
~~~~~~~~~~~

and I've decided to pick a third winner
just because it was my birthday last week.

My birthday winner is....#15 Judy

Moda's Pastel Plaid and Hideaway is beautiful! Thanks for the chance.

The winners have been sent an email.

Guest blogging and a giveaway....

I'm guest blogging at Sew We Quilt today and my tutorial is a tea towel apron.
Finished apron   Tea Towel Apron Embellished

The 2 aprons are sewn following the same tutorial.
They can be tied at the front or the back
and the straps can be sewn to the back or the front of the apron bodice.
2 different looks with simple changes.
The toweling and the coordinating fabrics are from Moda
My friend Cori has an online fabric shop in Canton Michigan and
and she has the toweling at her Crazyquiltgirl Fabric Shop.
She currently has 18 different choices of tea toweling available
and she is always adding more to her shop.
You will find Cori's prices and customer service simply the best.

...and now I promised a little show and tell...

I've finished a few UFO's...the first one has been quilted for a number of years
and just needed the binding.
The fabric is Lightning Bugs by Heather Ross
Heather Ross 1
the back is Kona cotton and I think the color is sky.
HR2 reverse
I used a two sided binding.
It was machine quilted by Liz Bowman, Milan Michigan.

The next quilt needed just the binding also
and it, too, was quilted by Liz Bowman.
 Lady Bugs
The third quilt  is a small lap quilt, also pieced years ago...
... it was a quilt top used to practice long arm quilting on my Gammill.
It is a simple meandering and any little girl would love to cuddle with it.
Disney Princesses Finished
The binding is on and I now have 3 finished UFO's...I'm pretty happy.
I have 2 more of the princess quilts that just need the binding.
They were quilts used to practice meandering on the long arm.
I think I will use a 2 sided binding on them.
I am really liking the 2 sided binding...
...the quilts are about 30" by 36"...a nice lap quilt for a little girl.
They will be donation quilts...now I want to make 3 boy ones.
2 Princess quilts
There is still lots more I have been working on...

...and now it is time for a giveaway

My give away will include:
1-1/2 yards of tea toweling
1/2 yard of coordinating fabric
...that will be enough fabric to make an apron and a matching tea towel.

DSCN0498

My give away will be open to everyone...
...for this giveaway you do not have to be a follower.
I would luv it if you did choose to follow but you can
simply leave me a comment telling me
what tea toweling package you would like to win
Moda's Pastel Plaid and Hideaway fabric on the left
or Moda's Granny Garden and Amelia fabric on the right...

...for a second chance to win
please visit SEW WE QUILT and leave a comment there.
If you are a 'No Reply' blogger.....
